Review Boards: Eagle, Falcon, NCSA, COY

All,

The Eagle Flight, Falcon Flight, NCSA, and COY boards will be held this year on Saturday, 29 January 2011.

In addition, Encampment Staff selection boards will be held on Sunday, 30 January 2011.

Eagle Flight requirements:

·        This school is limited to 16 cadets and 4 Senior Officers

·        1st year Cadet Prerequisites 14 -17 years old, Minimum C/TSgt, No physical limitations that will prohibit flight.

·        2nd year Cadet Prerequisites 14-17 years old, Minimum C/TSgt, No physical limitations that will prohibit flight, Complete FAA IACRA application prior to Apr 2011.

·        3rd year Cadets must be at least 16 years of age, complete the FAA private pilot glider written exam prior to 1 July 2011.

Both Cadets and Officers will be required to send the following information to Wing HQ/CP to be postmarked NO LATER than 18 January 2011:

1.      Copy of your printed and signed form 31 (Note in Comments Section which year you are attending)

2.      Eagle Flight Glider Encampment Questionnaire

Falcon Flight requirements:

·        This school is limited to 8 cadets

·        Have attended a basic encampment.

·        Be 16 years or older.

·        Be able to pass a flight physical.

·        Minimum C/TSgt

You are required to send the following information to Wing HQ/CP to be postmarked NO LATER than 22 January 2011:

1.      Copy of your printed and signed form 31

On the day of the review board, you will take a written test on CAP knowledge and airplane knowledge.

In addition you will be interviewed by the review board.

NCSA's you will be required to do the following:

First, electronically submit your application to NHQ on-line through E-Services (DEADLINE 15 January 2011). 

(When you have completed, reviewed and printed your CAP form 31, it will automatically be transmitted to NHQ electronically) 

Second,
sign the “Release Agreement” and have your parent or guardian (if applicable) sign the “Release by Parent or Guardian” block (page 4 of the application).

Third, Activity Directors will contact the members who are slotted for an NCSA.  Mail the signed “Release Agreement/Release by Parent or Guardian” to the activity director at the address provided.  If you are slotted to attend more than one activity, you will need to send a copy of the release to each event.

In addition to the online process for National, you are required to send the following information to Wing HQ/CP to be postmarked NO LATER than 22 January 2011:

1.      Copy of your printed and signed form 31

2.      NJ Wing Cadet Annual Performance Evaluation (CAPE) Form

3.      Photo (Full body shot) in Blues

For the Cadet of the Year submissions:

Squadrons can nominate one COY in each phase.

All cadets nominated for Cadet of the Year will submit the following to Wing HQ by 1 January 2011:

1.      CAPF 58 - Nomination for Cadet of the Year (list achievements/activities done in entire CAP career)

2.      NJ CAPE Form (list activities/achievement done in 2010 only)

3.      Transcripts of school and/or college credits

4.      SAT and ACT exam scores (if available)

5.      Photo - full length (head to toe), in blues uniform without hat

6.      Three letters of recommendation

All paperwork must be sent to Wing HQ/CP postmarked by 22 January 2011.
