Eagle Flight Glider Encamment 23-31 July Applications Due: 22 Jan 2011

Happy New Year New Jersey Wing:

  1. The following is the final notice for the Eagle Flight Glider Encamment. Applications (printed and signed Form 31 and Questionnaire are due postmarked cob 22 Jan 2011 (NOTE: EXTENDED TIME ON POSTMARK). See email and attachments below.
  2. Eagle Flight Selection Boards for Cadets and Senior students will be held in conjunction with the NCSA boards on 29 January 2011 as listed below in LtCol Sperry's email.
  3. Eagle flight encampment staff selections will be accomplished seperately.

The 2011 Eagle Flight Glider Encampment will be conducted at Fort Indiantown Gap Pennsylvania between July 23 and July 31 2011. The encampment will also include Ground School Training in the May-June timeframe.
 
The cost for Cadet Students will be $650.00 and the cost for Senior Member Students will be $750.00. This year we will be selecting 16 Cadet Students and 4 Senior Member Students in a competitive selection process that mirrors the NCSA selection process. The attached flier outlines the application process. Both Senior Members and Cadets will be required to submit applications through channels to arrive at NJ Wing HQ Not Later Than January 14, 2011. Due Date changed to postmarked by  22 Jan 2011
 
This year we will be accepting applications from First, Second and Third Year cadets and First and Second Year Seniors.

First Year Cadets: Must hold the Rank of C/TSGT, Completed Basic Encampment and be at least 14 years old. and have an approved "NJWG Application for Cadet Flight Training Approval" NJWF 60-TC prior to the encampment.

Second Year Cadets: Must Hold an FAA Student Pilot Certificate Prior to the start of the Encampment. Specific procedures will be published after the selection process

Third Year Cadets: Must have passed the FAA Glider Private Pilot Written test within the past 2 years and are encouraged to be enrolled in a program of private glider flight training.
 
First Year Senior Members: Must have completed Level 1 and Cadet Protection. and have an approved "Request to Conduct Flight Training for Seniors" NJWF 60-TS 

Second year Senior Members Must Hold an FAA Student Pilot Certificate Prior to the start of the Encampment. Specific procedures will be published after the selection process
